Funny things happen when you say YES…
Do you ever say YES but don’t follow through? or give half ass effort because your subconscious runs this program in the back ground saying FAIL FAKE FAIL FAKE FAIL
And so you end up not coming through with the goods?
It doesn’t happen with all things but mostly with things that YOU KNOW must change
You know you are ripping off the people you could be serving…and yourself
Excuses are rife, and little setbacks get supported by “I’m busy” so the second attempt doesn’t happen
I bet I’m not the only who does this and most likely not the last one either
Last weekend I attended a 3 days business seminar especially designed for wellness practitioners. I felt a connection and a call to action
I’v been (like many others) have been disillusioned by many services or course providers. I call them expensive learning lessons
The word mistake can be a bit harsh and apply massive amounts of guilt of not practicing due diligence, so I would much rather use lesson
“A commitment to growth is a commitment to risk, courage, faith, strength, hope, and a willingness to make mistakes, get back up and try again.”
You see I’m a stubborn mule at times….I hold onto to things and chew on them, and re-live the moment I realised that a mistake has been made. It is NOT THE HEALTHIEST way of dealing with things
You would think that with all the skills I acquired over the years, I would be able to shift the block. Yeah nah.
But something happened last weekend
I flew to the Gold Coast. It was perfect timing too because the weather in Melbourne was less than friendly over the last few weeks…
I said YES to a seminar interstate with an unknown facilitator
It was the most incredible, redefining 4 days that I experienced for a VERY LONG TIME
I got REAL with my blocks, my frustrations, my desires, and fears!
And I was able to deal with them as an “adult”. The point of sitting in uncomfortable has reached a threshold which required attention
With a group of practitioners and total strangers, I could feel the love and connection, that we all at some point had very similar emotions, feelings and thoughts. We all came to the seminar to serve clients from a higher level of consciousness
At some point, fear and hesitance turn SELFISH. I was being so SELFISH!
That was a massive OMG moment!
Although I have so much information to review, implement processes and other plans, I sit comfortably with saying YES to something which was uncomfortable to begin with
I heard the call to action
I said YES to owning my lessons and now ready to move FORWARD
“You have to own your mistakes, otherwise your mistakes own you”
